The Five Ways OTC GREENLIGHT Helps You Save
- Removes Subjectivity – According to BSEE regulations, each individual pressure test must hold the required pressure long enough to demonstrate that the components being tested are able to withstand the pressures necessary for production. The accuracy of the readings produced by circle chart recorders can be affected by a number of variables such as the level of friction between pen and paper, weather elements, vibrations, etc. Additionally, the charts, which can often be difficult to read, can be interpreted differently by rig personnel onsite. OTC GREENLIGHT, however, eliminates subjectivity by using a proprietary algorithm that digitally analyzes and records data from each pressure test to deliver accurate and reliable testing results eliminating human error.
- Requires No Benchmark Testing –GREENLIGHT is unique in that it requires no benchmark curve. With OTC GREENLIGHT, pressure testing can begin immediately and continue for each component being tested without requiring preliminary or additional benchmark tests.
- Predictive High-Pressure Test – For the high-pressure portion of BOP testing, BSEE standards require that the tested components maintain a constant pressure for at least five minutes with no decline. In most drilling and well intervention operations it can often take a considerable amount of time for the fluids to stabilize. OTC GREENLIGHT’s BSEE-approved pressure “Analysts” use a proprietary algorithm to analyze the collected data that can predict the final outcome of the test. As soon as OTC GREENLIGHT collects enough data to accurately predict the outcome of the pressure test, the results are displayed onscreen as a ‘first light,’ either green or red for a passed or failed test, respectively, and the test can then immediately be terminated, allowing operators to quickly move on to the next stage of the pressure testing process. Our tests consistently save 40 to 50 percent of overall testing time on high pressure tests.
- Robust, Real-Time Reporting – BSEE requires Operators record and retain the time, date and results of all pressure tests, actuations, crew drills and inspections of the system or system components at the testing facility for the duration of completion activities or for a period of two years following the completion. OTC GREENLIGHT collects and records second-by-second data from each pressure test to create a comprehensive report that allows for the insertion of notes and comments to document a complete job history. The reports generated by OTC GREENLIGHT for each pressure test can be easily saved and sent to various parties for quick reference.
