Today’s oil and gas industry is faced with a range of diverse and significant challenges, making it more important than ever for your company to comply with the ever-evolving guidelines set by domestic and international regulatory agencies. Oftentimes, compliance training is treated as an afterthought, but with regulatory auditors interviewing and quizzing crew personnel on their compliance knowledge, the previously accepted read-and-agree format of compliance training is no longer considered acceptable proof of crew competency.

Effective safety and compliance training streamlines employee processes, resulting in fewer days lost and higher overall production rates; however, without proper training for your crew, your entire operation can be at risk. With compliance readiness programs emerging at the forefront of vital industry operations, Offshore Technical Compliance recognizes that there needs to be a shift in the way effective training is conducted.

In an effort to support our clients as they navigate the challenging waters of regulatory compliance, we have developed two new interactive regulatory compliance training programs: a marine and an offshore drilling regulatory compliance training program. Both IADC-accredited training courses are instructor-led via classroom and workshop-style settings and are designed to provide participants the knowledge and resources needed to demonstrate their proficiency in domestic and international regulatory guidelines with an 80 percent pass rate as required by IADC at the courses’ end.

OTC’s Marine Regulatory Compliance Training is a three-day, 24-hour course intended for all personnel pursuing knowledge of marine regulatory compliance for oil and gas vessels, MODU’s and FPSO’s and floating production facilities operating in the Gulf of Mexico and internationally. The company’s Offshore Drilling Regulatory Compliance Training is a five-day, 35-hour course intended to provide participants with a deep understanding of applicable offshore drilling regulatory compliance requirements, as well as inspection methodology and skills.

Be on the lookout for next month’s newsletter as we delve deeper into the curriculum used in our Offshore Drilling Regulatory Compliance Training course to ensure your crew is fit-for-service.

The first Marine Regulatory Compliance Training course will take place June 27-29th, and the first Offshore Drilling Regulatory Compliance Training course on July 25-29th.
