Rig Selection
Is your rig capable of performing the tasks it is intended for? OTC helps to make sure that our clients are not surprised by any upcoming regulatory inspections or operational restrictions which might impede their planned program. Rig Acceptance

OTC’s team of experienced inspectors take a different approach to rig acceptance. Each highly-trained inspector maintains a detailed list of comments associated with the inspection items. Rig Acceptance addresses internal procedures to ensure safety, efficiency and consistency of operations and regulatory compliance. Rig Acceptance is based on a number of factors including: age, condition of the structure and equipment, motion characteristics, historical performance of crews and equipment, regulatory certification status and daily rates.
Safety and Compliance Inspections
OTC provides regulatory safety and compliance inspections for rigs and crews that will be operating in areas that have unfamiliar regulatory requirements. This is particularly helpful for contractors beginning new operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico where rig crews may be unfamiliar with BSEE and USCG regulations and inspection processes. OTC utilizes former BSEE and USCG Inspectors to ensure the rig is prepared and crews are trained for the expectations in the U.S. GoM. Helping You Operate Safety and In Compliance
OTC provides offshore oil and gas exploration and production companies with Regulatory Compliance Readiness Inspections to help our clients operate safely and in compliance with federal regulations. All of our inspections are performed by former MMS/BOEMRE/BSEE inspectors.
We provide both ongoing spot inspections and mock annual inspections, which include compliance documentation review, visual inspections, BOP test support and verification and safety systems checks for drilling and production operations in the GOM and internationally.
