Marine Compliance Course

Quality Training is the Only Way to Ensure Safe Operations for MODU’s, FPSO’s and Other Oil and Gas Vessels

When marine regulations are overlooked, often accidents happen that could be prevented. In most cases when an offshore incident occurs, you’ll find a list of regulations that were not followed. At OTC, safety and preventing incidents are always a first priority and that starts with quality training.

eventOffshore Technical Compliance’s new Marine Regulatory Compliance Training is designed to prepare those who will work on oil and gas vessels, MODU’s, FPSO’s and Floating Production Facilities.

OTC has created a one-of-a-kind Marine Regulatory Compliance training course that is accredited by the IADC. This course is designed for all personnel pursuing knowledge in Marine Regulatory Compliance for oil and gas vessels operating in the Gulf of Mexico and internationally including compliance managers, shore side marine managers and advisors, OIM’s, masters, chief officers, deck officers and HS&E managers. Course participants are required to have prior oil and gas experience.

OUR OBJECTIVE

The overall objective of the three-day (24 hour) course is to provide participants with knowledge and proficiency in Regulatory Compliance in oil and gas MODU, vessels and platforms with knowledge and understanding of applicable Marine Regulatory Compliance requirements and inspection methodology and skills.

By the end of this training, we expect each participant to be able to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and proficiency in Marine Regulatory Compliance requirements by delivery of material, exercises and by written test.

TRAINING DESIGNED WITH RETENTION & REAL WORLD IN MIND

This interactive training is instructor led via classroom and workshop-style settings to ensure all learning styles are met. Slideshows and handouts are used throughout the training to engage participants and encourage retention of the subjects to achieve an 80 percent pass rate required by IADC. Additionally, actual case studies are used throughout the course to offer a real-world understanding on how all objectives fit into Marine Regulatory Compliance standards.
